The Color Issue Old Town Scottsdale Organic, ammonia free
A small boutique salon in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale for over 30 years, cutting and coloring for men and women of all ages. We only use products that focus on beautiful healthy hair, and our color is all organic and ammonia free.
p.02 The Lookbook
Four chapters, one chair. Everything starts the same way: you tell us what you want, and we tell you honestly what your hair will do.
p.03 Results
Slide between two grades of the same photograph, taken in our salon. A feel for the direction we work in, not a promise.
Illustrative. These are our own photographs shown in two grades, not a specific client result. Every head of hair answers differently.

p.04 The Visit
No assembly line, no upsell energy. One head at a time, by someone who has been doing this longer than most salons have been open.
We start in the chair, not at the bowl. What you want, what your hair will actually hold, and what it takes to keep it once you leave.
Color mixed for your hair, not poured from a shelf. Organic, ammonia free, and matched to your grey, your tone, and how you want it growing out.
Unhurried. Every stylist here has between ten and thirty years behind the chair, and you will know which one of them has your head.
You leave knowing how to get it back yourself: the products, the timing, and a straight answer on when you actually need to come back in.
“Good color should read as your hair, never as a dye job.”
p.05 Masthead
Not one stylist here has under ten years behind the chair. You will know exactly who is doing your hair, and why they are good at it, before you sit down.

Hairstylist · 15 years
Runs the floor and keeps the book. Fifteen years of cutting and coloring, and the person most likely to answer when you call.
Stylist
Hairstylist · 20+ years
Twenty years and counting. Cuts for men, women and kids, and color that is meant to grow out honestly rather than all at once.
Stylist
Hairstylist · 20+ years
Two decades behind the chair in Old Town. The kind of stylist whose clients moved away and still drive back in for an appointment.
Nails, Lashes & Brows
Nail tech, lash extensions, microblading · 10 years
Ten years on nails, lash extensions and microblading. The reason a lot of people here book two things at once.
p.06 Letters
I have been coming here longer than I have lived in Arizona. That should tell you everything.
She talked me out of going lighter and gave me the color I actually wanted. Nobody had done that before.
No ammonia, no headache, and my grey is gone. I did not know those three things could go together.
p.07 The Chair
A station in a boutique salon in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, full time or part time. Over 30 years of regulars walking through the same door on 5th Avenue, and a team that has been here for most of it.
p.08 Booking
Walk in, call, or leave this with us. Tell us what you want done and when you tend to be free, and someone from the salon will call you back to set a time.
Consider it penciled in.
Thank you. Someone from the salon will call you back to confirm a time. Watch for a call from (480) 941-3022.
